1. UND Telecommunications Student Services is only for persons using the UND telephone system. If a subscriber should move within/from a University residence hall, he/she must notify the UND Telecommunications Department.
2. The service period for all UND Telecommunications services is from the 26th of the month through the 25th of the following month.
3. UND Telecommunications Student Services invoices are due and payable by the due date listed on the invoice. If a subscriber's services are suspended due to lack of payment, all past due, current, and applicable reconnect charges must be paid before services can be reinstated.
4. If a subscriber's account is referred to the Business Office for collection, a hold will be placed on the subscriber's records and registration. Services will be reinstated upon proof of payment for the Business Office and payment of any applicable reconnect charges.
5. If a subscriber's account is referred to the Business Office three times, UND Telecommunications may refuse to reinstate service.
6. If dial tone service is suspended due to lack of payment, a $25.00* charge will be assessed to reinstate the service.
7. If voice mail service is suspended due to lack of payment, a $12.50* charge will be assessed to reinstate the service.
8. Long distance services will be suspended if an account reaches the established credit limit (usually $150.00). Long distance services will be reinstated upon payment of the account.
9. Subscribers will be charged for misdialed numbers unless Telecommunications is notified as soon as possible after the call was placed. Calls answered by answering machines and voice mail systems are considered completed calls.
12. Each person is responsible for his/her own authorization code and all calls placed with it. If a change in an authorization code is requested, a $5.00* charge will be assessed.
14. If an authorization code is lost or stolen, the subscriber must notify UND Telecommunications. The subscriber will be responsible for all charges incurred until UND Telecommunications is notified of the loss. The code will be deactivated and a new code issued.
15. Subscribers may not accept collect calls while using UND Telecommunications services.
16. UND Telecommunications reserves the right to refuse service to any individual considered to be a credit risk.
18. Calling cards from other vendors may be used; however, UND Telecommunications requests the subscriber use a nonsubscriber calling card to ensure proper billing from the vendor. Calling cards may not be issued with a UND telephone number as the card number. All calling cards assigned to a UND telephone will be deactivated without notice to the subscriber.
19. Subscribers of UND Telecommunications Student Service may not subscribe to services provided by other vendors, such as voice mail. Any additional telephone services subscribed to through other vendors may be deactivated without notice to the subscriber.
20. If service is disconnected and reinstalled within a month of the termination date, an installation fee of $25.00* for dial tone and $12.50* for voice mail will be charged. You will be charged for at least one month of service if you choose to terminate service within the first month of installation.
